The top priority here at Hot House has always been, and continues to be, our model’s health and safety. Ever since our inception in 1993 Hot House President and Director Steven Scarborough has enforced a strict condom-only policy that continues today.  We pride ourselves in keeping a clean and sanitary model area where our stars are invited to shower, groom, dress, relax and eat. Our costumes, gear and sex toys are washed and sterilized daily. In addition to these measures, we provide our models with Safety and Sexual Health Information including resources to help facilitate regular testing for STIs (Sexual Transmitted Infections). We hope that our commitment to sexual health and regular testing will carry over into our fan’s personal lives. Remember that current health standards suggest that you always wear a condom when exchanging body fluids, educate yourself on the potential risk factors of your sexual activity, and get tested for STIs including HIV every six months. Here in San Francisco there are many options for reliable anonymous testing including the San Francisco City Clinic. One of our favorite places to visit is Magnet, located in the heart of the Castro. Magnet provides free testing and a huge variety of services dedicated to support the physical, mental and social well-being of gay men. Free, reliable STI/STD and HIV testing is available around the country. Wherever you live you can find a safe, confidential testing site nearby just by entering your zip code on the National HIV and STD Testing Resources or Planned Parenthood websites. Staying on top of your sexual health and getting tested is sexy!

Exclusive Ross Hurston next to Kent North’s artwork at Magnet in the Castro

As many of you know Hot House Exclusive Kent North passed away late last year leaving behind a stellar legacy. Many of you might be surprised to know that he was also a professional behind the camera as well. One of North’s most inspiring pieces of work is The Mechanics Monument, a photo he shot while visiting San Francisco. His surviving partner Lloyd recently released 15 limited edition prints of the photo for sale with proceeds directly benefiting North’s favorite charity, the St. Stephen’s AIDS Trust in London.

The Mechanics Monument is one of the few San Francisco sculptures to survive the earthquake of 1906 and has become a symbol of empowerment and hope to the city’s citizens since its unveiling on May 15, 1901. The 26″ x 21″ work is one of 4 original pieces shot by North that were recently presented in exhibition in London.
