Gay Chicago Magazine released the 2007 Grabby nominations and Hot House was honored to receive 28 nominations in 21 categories, more than any other studio! The annual award show has become one of the most popular and respected events honoring top video companies and gay video stars. Gay Chicago Magazine and the Grabby Awards are the creation of the late great Ralph Gernhardt, affectionately known as “Big Daddy Ferguson.” Daddy Ferguson was a pioneer and champion of the adult industry who passed away last year. His loyal support and enthusiasm will be greatly missed, but his spirit lives on through his good works.

Hot House looks forward to returning to Chicago every year for the world’s biggest leather event, International Mr. Leather (IML) and the ensuing Grabby Awards. Thanks to our friends at Gay Chicago Magazine for making this year even sweeter with 28 nominations!

The rumors were confirmed this week that comedian and fag hag extraordinaire Kathy Griffin will host the 9th Annual GAYVN Awards in San Francisco on February 24. This marks the first year that the show will take place in San Francisco (at the historic Castro Theatre) and landing Griffin as a host for the event is a major coup for GAYVN.

Speculation has already begun to flood the blogosphere that the event will be taped by Bravo and used for an episode of her reality show “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List,” though no official word has been released. The event will be open to the public, another first for the veteran award ceremony, and tickets are $100-200 each - practically a steal for an opportunity to see the Diva dish the array of industry gliterrati that will be on hand and perhaps hear some of the material off Allegedly, her latest DVD.
