The rumors were confirmed this week that comedian and fag hag extraordinaire Kathy Griffin will host the 9th Annual GAYVN Awards in San Francisco on February 24. This marks the first year that the show will take place in San Francisco (at the historic Castro Theatre) and landing Griffin as a host for the event is a major coup for GAYVN.

Speculation has already begun to flood the blogosphere that the event will be taped by Bravo and used for an episode of her reality show “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List,” though no official word has been released.
